BSA # 210-12 BZ, 44 West 28th street (Cross Fit NYC), application for a special permit for a physical culture establishment
At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of Community Board Five on Thursday, September 13, 2012, the Board passed the following resolution by a vote of 34 in favor; 1 opposed; 1 abstaining.
WHEREAS, The applicant, Cross Fit NYC, seeks a special permit to own and operate a new physical fitness center at 44 West 28th Street; and
WHEREAS, The proposed fitness center would occupy approximately 8000 sq ft of space on the second floor of this 16 story building and will have a separate entrance on the ground level; and
WHEREAS, The applicant will not be serving food or alcohol and has agreed not to use the space for special events or catering; and
WHEREAS, The applicant owns several other reputable physical fitness facilities around the city; and
WHEREAS, This location would be replacing one of the already existing Cross Fit locations; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That Community Board Five recommends approval of this special permit for a Cross Fit NYC physical culture establishment at 44 West 28th Street.
