Historical Photo of the Week (March 26. 2018): The Easter Parade

What started as an Easter promenade for Manhattan's upper crust has become a full-blown parade for everyone.

The tradition stems from the holiday floral displays at churches like Trinity Church and St. Patrick's Cathedral. High-society Manhattanites would dress in their finest garb and make their way around town to take in the flowers. Others would gather to people-watch the elite and spot the latest fashion trends. Don't miss the outlandish costumes at this Sunday's festivities.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover!
