"Subway Reads" Celebrates Literature, Free WiFi

August 21st 2018:

Waiting for your train can now be the opportune time to take advantage of what free subway WiFi has to offer.  The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and Literacy Partners have teamed up for the third year in a row to provide essays, poems and extensive excerpts from novels to subway riders, free of charge!

Use the website subwayreads.org to find titles such as Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, Lighting the Fires of Freedom: African American Women in the Civil Rights Movement by Janet Dewart Bell, PhD, and The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande to read on your commute.

p.s. This year there's also a social media selfie competition to win prizes by using hashtag #SubwayReads.
