Join the FDNY and FDNY Foundation as we celebrate National Fire Prevention Week on Monday, October 5th at 10 a.m. with a special virtual event from new FDNY Fire Zone learning center in Rockefeller Center. The educational program, to stream live on, will educate children remotely from across the five boroughs on fire safety and the importance of being prepared in case of an emergency. All participating will also be sworn in as honorary Junior Firefighters and EMTs. NYPD Seeking Comments on Draft Disciplinary Matrix

The discipline matrix provides an overview of the goals of internal discipline, defines the presumptive penalties for specific acts of substantiated misconduct by officers and outlines potential aggravating and mitigating factors that may be considered when assessing a disciplinary penalty.  NYPD is accepting comments till September 30, 2020.  You can find more information, review what is proposed and submit comments by following this link! CCRB September Board Meeting

The CCRB will host its next public board meeting on Wednesday, September 9th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via Webex. This meeting will focus on the relationship between LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers and the NYPD. We encourage members of the LGBTQIA+ community to attend and share their experiences with policing.
