Property Tax Event - Meet 1-on-1 with Department of Finance for advice!

Council Member Keith Powers is partnering with the Department of Finance and Council Member Rivera’s office to host a property tax event on February 5th.  This event will focus on the Notice of Property Value (NOPV) and will give constituents a chance to meet one-on-one with Department of Finance staff members to ask questions about their NOPV and get help applying for exemptions.  Read More

SCRIE/DRIE Workshop 🏡

Speaker Corey Johnson is hosting a workshop with the Mayor's Public Engagement Unit (PEU) aimed at helping seniors and people with disabilities apply for SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption) and DRIE (Disability Rent Increase Exemption). This program helps eligible senior citizens (aged 62 and over) and tenants with qualifying disabilities stay in affordable housing by freezing their rent. Read More
