WELCOME TO COMMUNITY BOARD FIVE

Community Board 5, as all community boards, is made up of 50 members of the neighborhood appointed by the Manhattan Borough President and local City Council members.  The City Charter designates community boards with an advisory role on matters such as land use and zoning, liquor license permits, the City budget and the delivery of City services within the district. Our CB5 members volunteer their time to represent the district's residents, businesses, associations, institutions and non-profits and work to address issues within the district.

If you see a problem in your neighborhood, please feel  free to contact us.

The Board's various  committees meet monthly. Those meetings have been held remotely since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor Adams has extended emergency orders and this allows for virtual meetings by public agencies. CB5 will therefore continue to conduct its meetings via Zoom until further notice. The public will be able to fully participate in the meetings and we encourage you to register, as you have been, to view and participate in our upcoming meetings. We will also continue to record meetings so that you can view them at any time on our YouTube Channel.
You can find zoom links for each meeting on our calendar page by clicking on the committee name listed.
Please continue to check our website for updates.

If you have questions about the process, please contact office@cb5.org or call 212 465-0907.

Thank you,
Vikki Barbero
Chair, CB5 Manhattan
