West Midtown Transit Corridor

The West Midtown Transit Corridor, comprised of hubs like the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Penn Station, is one of the busiest transit corridors in the country. Hundreds of thousands of commuters travel every day from New Jersey across the Hudson River into Manhattan for work using buses, Amtrak, NJ Transit or PATH trains.

Garment District Zoning Changes

For more than a century, midtown’s Garment District has been a center of garment manufacturing and its associated businesses. While manufacturing has declined in the district over the years due to changing technology and global pressures, it is still the backbone of the fashion industry in New York City.
